Tour Overview
Join us on this fantastic tour of the Emerald Isle. Unlike most tours of Ireland, this tour takes us all around the island, including Northern Ireland. Our trip will start in Dublin where we will have a tour of the city with stops that allow us to see Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Grafton Street, O’Connell Street. Next, we will head north to Downpatrick to tour the St. Patrick’s Center and to see his grave. In Belfast, we will do a city tour and then go tour the world- famous Titanic Museum. As we head west, we will visit the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and then it’s on to Derry for a walking tour of this most interesting city and then on to Donegal for dinner. The next morning we continue south to Knock, a village that has attracted pilgrims from all over the world since the townsfolk saw apparitions. We will spend lunchtime in Galway and then we will cross The Burren to visit the 668 foot Cliffs of Moher. Tonight we enjoy a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle. Next we travel to Adare, a village known for it’s thatched cottages. We will take in the breathtaking scenery of the Dingle Peninsula and visit the Blasket Islands. The next day we will enjoy a drive on the Ring of Kerry and then a jaunting cart ride through Killarney National Park. We leave Killarney to visit the famous Blarney Castle (if you like to kiss stones, this is a good one) and then take a guided tour of the Waterford Crystal Factory. Tonight, we will enjoy a traditional pub experience at a local watering hole. As we head back north, we will visit Enniscorthy, the final battle site of the Great Rebellion of 1798 and visit to Ireland’s oldest handweaving mill at Avoca. We will spend our last full day in Ireland in Dublin visiting Trinity College and the Old Library to see the Book of Kells. Our next stop will be the National Museum of Ireland and the Guinness Brewery Museum and Hop Store. The afternoon is yours for free time. Join on this excellent tour of Ireland.
