Harry Truman was an ordinary American who ended up doing extraordinary things.  We will go back to his roots in Independence, MO – visit the Harry Truman Presidential Museum and Library and his home.  You will also visit Fulton MO where Winston Churchill gave his famous “Iron Curtain Speech” and see Westminster Church that was a gift from England to the U.S.(an old English church taken down brick by brick , transported to Fulton, and assembled).  We will also visit St. Joseph MO and see where the Pony Express started and where Jesse James met his end.  St. Joseph’s is filled with interesting homes from Gilded Age mansions to Arts and Crafts Bungalows, to Romanesque Revivals.  It is an amazing place.  On this trip, you will gain more respect for our 33rd President and for the frontier spirit that helped to make America great.
